Taiwan Beer is a brand of the Taiwan Tobacco and Liquor Corporation (TTL), a Ministry of Finance state-owned enterprise. It began in 1901, with a monopolized business system during the period of the Japanese occupation. In 1947, it reorganized and formed the ‘Taiwan Tobacco and Liquor Monopoly Bureau’, which maintained and used its system until 2002.
Taiwan Beer is internationally renowned, with an annual production reaching 49,730,000 twelve packs of 0.6L bottles. It is the largest beer brand in Taiwan. The key success for Taiwan Beer to sustain a strong market share is its consistent quality and freshness.
