Ferdinand's Saar Dry Gin features a particularly intricate recipe, with 30 different botanicals in the mix, including thyme, sloe and rose hip, among (many) others. As if that wasn't enough, the German distillers add a very specific amount of fruity, semi-sweet Riesling. There's lots going on in Ferdinand's Saar Dry Gin, but it's all well balanced and yummy - it's really quite an experience!
Nose:Fragrant, natural notes of lavender and lemongrass, with a little bit of real citrus shortly following. Fresh juniper, lively though not at the forefront.
Palate:Lemons, limes and thyme. Juniper at the centre, though once again it lets the surrounding flavours take the driver's seat. Warming notes of ginger.
Finish:Long and full of fruit notes.
Overall:Saar Dry Gin will definitely stick in your mind for a long while afterwards.
